Yes, if you log out or you stop a lesson and return to it later, you can return to the exact point that you left off by clicking Resume on your lesson.

We recommend that all participants take the courses on a computer for the best possible experience.

You are not required to upload homework or addendums to this course. However, it may be requested by your group administrator to submit independently.

In your course dashboard, the list of courses you are currently enrolled in will display your progress level.

Each course consists of at least one module, broken down into lessons. Each lesson contains a video and a number of non-graded response questions. You must fully watch each video in order to access the questions, and must complete every question to advance to the next lesson or module. At the end of the course, you will take a final, graded quiz, of which you must get 80% to pass and receive your certificate.

You may only pause and play each video. The feature to move the video forward or backward has been disabled to ensure full understanding of the material.

Participants will receive a designated link from your group administrator (usually an HR representative.) This link is exclusive to your organization.

Yes, each video has a button in the bottom right corner labeled as CC that you can click on to bring up closed captioning.

There may be a few reasons for a frozen video. 1. Please check your internet connection to ensure that it is not the internet network you are connected to that is causing problems. 2. Your video will freeze if you try to navigate to another program or internet browser window on your computer, to ensure you have your full focus and attention on the main screen. 3. Try refreshing your page, or logging out of your account and back in. If you still can’t get the video to work, please reach out to [email protected].

If you do not pass your final quiz with at least 80%, your group administrator will be notified, and they will decide the next steps. Steps may include a retake of the entire course, a retake of just the quiz, or nothing at all.

Your employer will be able to see your course progress, but will not be able to see your non-graded answers, as these are designed for personal growth and are subjective. They are also able to see your level of completion on your Final Quiz.

For Group Administrators

Each participant must watch every course’s video in their entirety before questions will be made available to them to answer, and each question must be answered in order to progress to the next lesson. The final quiz is only available after every video and every question in the entire rest of the course has been completed. A certificate will only be awarded to participants who pass a final quiz with 80% or higher.

From the home page www.civilityu.org, click on “Register Your Group” in the top right corner, and complete the intake form. Note: Completing this form does not automatically register you as a user or your group a customer. Your application will be manually reviewed, and one of our CivilityU administrators will reach out to your primary contact for next steps.

Your group will receive a unique designated link for your organization. You will send this link to any employee that has been assigned to complete a course. Once a participant has registered with this link, they will be able to enroll in the course(s) that they have been assigned to complete.

As a group administrator, you are able to see an individual’s overall course progression, individual lessons progression, and quiz completion %.

Our programs are designed to support personal growth. We believe that awareness is the 1st step in making any change. So, throughout each lesson, clients are asked to examine and understand how their current beliefs and attitudes contribute to their behavior. By understanding how they LEARNED to behave the way they do, they have an opportunity to make choices to change patterns of behavior that may no longer be working for them today. Privacy creates an atmosphere free from judgement and promotes the best possible platform for open, honest self-reflection. Therefore, we will not share participant’s answers with you. You will, however, have access to all dashboard information. This will allow you to monitor your participant’s progress. At the end of each lesson, participants are required to declare that they have participated fully in all exercises. This provides your organization with a layer of legal protection without invading your client’s right to privacy. These declarations will be made available to you upon request. Upon completing a course, you will receive notification that the participant has either passed or failed the course. If the participant passes the course, you will receive a copy of their Certificate of Completion for your records. If they fail the course, you will be asked to decide whether or not you want them to repeat the course.

Yes, you will receive an email for both scenarios. If a user passes a final quiz, they will be issued a time-stamped certificate that they will email to you. If a participant fails, you will have the option to have them retake the entire course, retake just the final quiz, or, nothing at all.
